ARIEL BULLION ECKLUND
Ode to Louise (2024) by Ariel Bullion Ecklund
In both her ceramics and photography practice, multidisciplinary artist and independent curator Ariel Bullion Ecklund’s work evokes a sense of “emotive stillness.” Working with relatively simple, minimalistic forms grounded in the abstract principles of form and line, light and shadow, her work explores concepts of absence + presence, fragility + strength and inner + outer space. Preferring the “rawness and vulnerability” of unglazed ceramics, she generally begins with a slab or coil o clay and leaves the final work untreated. In this way, Ariel allows the viewer space for quiet contemplation and reflection.

JILL DUFFY
Farm Walk (2026) by Jill Duffy
Jill Duffy creates abstract paintings shaped by a reciprocal relationship with the landscape she inhabits. Walking and tending the 225 year old Hudson Valley farm she stewards are central to her practice. Using earth and botanicals foraged or cultivated on the farm, Jill makes her own oil paints, inks, and charcoal through historic pigment-making techniques. Working on canvas, panel, and paper, she builds layered surfaces with ink and charcoal gestures followed by handmade paints and cold wax, dragging, scraping, and cutting back through the material to retrace these pathways within the work.
